We make skincare from the pasture and the hive, not the lab.

“Every batch still goes through our hands, rendered, whipped and jarred the same way the first one was.”

We started with one question: what's the least we can put in a jar, and still make the best balm you've ever used?

The question every batch still has to answer

How it started

A kitchen, a stockpot, and a stubborn streak

Nodra didn't begin as a brand. It began with me reading the back of a moisturizer tub and counting twenty-three ingredients I couldn't picture, let alone pronounce, and deciding to make one I could.

The first batches were rendered in a stockpot on a Sunday: grass-fed tallow done low and slow, a spoonful of manuka honey, jojoba to loosen the whip. Friends asked for jars. Then their friends did.

Nothing important has changed since. The batches are bigger, the stockpot is now a kettle with a thermometer, and every batch is still logged, numbered, and made by hands that know it by smell.

From pasture to jar

Four steps. No shortcuts.

Every jar takes the long way round, because the long way is the whole point.

Source

Grass-fed, grass-finished tallow and UMF-rated manuka honey, traceable to New Zealand.

Render

Low and slow, never rushed with heat. The good stuff stays in, nothing gets burned out.

Render

Whip

Air folded in until it spreads thin and sinks in fast. No grease slick.

Whip

Log

Every batch numbered and whipped fresh by hand.

What we believe

Three rules we won't break, even when it would be cheaper to

01

If you can't read it, we won't use it

Five ingredients is a feature, not a limitation. Anything we add has to earn its place in plain English.

02

Honesty before promises

Five ingredients named in plain words, and a promise in writing: give it a fair 30-day try, and you've got 100 days to ask for your money back.

03

Small enough to care

We'd rather sell out than scale past the point where someone who knows the recipe touches every batch.

Try it for 100 days

The proof is in the jar, not the about page.

Use it daily for 30 days and let your skin do the talking. If you are not won over, write to us any time inside 100 days for a full refund, and keep the jar. We just ask you activate with a photo in the first 14 days. First order, one per household.
